Despite the awful game this weekend I managed to find some bright spots and one odd conversation-
1.) Campus and IPF is still so impressive to see this time of year- incredibly beautiful.
2.) Two more families from here in Southern Denton County decided Tech and their kids are a good fit. That is always a good feeling seeing new converts come out of Cardinal Sports with a crap ton of new Tech gear.
3.) TGE Tailgate made it super easy to take one of the two families to a tailgate they could loiter around. The early game time cut the time we hung out there a bit shorter but everyone there seemed to be enjoying themselves. Good job John English and his crew.
Odd conversation- while walking to the TGE Tailgate an older gentlemen stopped us to see if we knew where "Mike's Rally" was being held. I didn't initially understand what he was looking for until he said "you know, the rally for Coach Leach." It was like talking with a caveman that had been frozen in time since Mike moved on getting thawed out and revisiting that tired issue.
We march on folks. I haven't missed a home game in the past 5 years and I will be there with the friends and family of Tech football players on November 4th.
