Well, interesting to me.
1.) Who has played the most minutes?
Davide Moretti with 56 minutes has two more than Jarrett Culver and seven more than Matt Money Mooney.
2.) It's too early to talk about who needs to shoot more, Tech is shooting .545 as a team. That likely won't last much longer.
3.) Who handles the ball a lot and hasn't shot a free throw yet?
Matt Mooney is third on the team in minutes, fourth in rebounds, first in assists and steals, and has yet to take a free throw.
4.) Ok last one - who is making hay at the free throw line?
Noresne Odiase has taken 6 shots from the floor and 9 shots from the foul stripe. He's made as many FT - 6 - as he's taken shots from the field.
5.) Bonus question: Who is second on the team in rebounds?
Odiase is first with 16, and Tariq Owens is third with 9.
Deshawn Corprew is a beast. I didn't realize how stout this guy is. One thing I noticed about him, and Mooney, is they are both pretty savvy on the offensive end in traffic. Both of them always seem to be in the right place at the right time. Corprew is a guy who is 8th in minutes played but 5th in shots taken - and they have all been good shots. He's second on the team in rebounding despite playing fewer minutes than either Odiase or Owens. I looked up Corprew's history - he signed with Aggy out of high school, and was offered by Kansas, Louisville, Texas among others. He was a Top 100 player if there is such a thing, according to ESPN he was the 91st best player in the country coming out of high school. He's really strong, I think he's got a physical advantage over a lot of guys he plays against.
Kyler Edwards looks like the real deal. He plays like a freshman mostly, but like a freshman who is going to play a lot for four years. Maybe needs to work on his free throws because his game is going to get him to the line a lot. At this point I don't understand why this cat didn't have a zillion offers coming out of high school. I know Butler was on him, not sure who else.
