I was looking this morning and since the beginning of last year Beard and Co. are 34-10 in the second half in 44 total games. We went 27-10 last year in the second half of games and are a perfect 7-0 this year. 2 of the games that we “lost” the 2nd half were games that we were up 20+ at halftime and still won by double digits.
I think that stat speaks volumes as to how good Beard and his staff are at making adjustments at halftime. During the Memphis game, I had no doubts that we would make a serious run in the second half because that has become the DNA of this team.
