I assume most of you watched the video of the Pilot being burned to death. This was very common in Europe not that many centuries ago. In fact ISIS are pikers compared to the torture that was mitigated out in Europe. Not that long ago the Europeans would burn you to death but over a week or more. Starting at your feet and slowly roasting you. The tortures were widespread.
Most of history is about mans inhumanity to man. Mostly in the name of religion, but even if we finally move away from man made gods I doubt the killing will stop. We still have those that will stoke racial hatred or promise utopia with someone else's work.
