In Defense of the Defense: The Silver Lining

Like the rest of you, Saturday at times was frustrating and depressing to me. I watched our team in person and then again from the DVR at home. 45 points, 350 rushing yards, etc will never be good regardless of opponent. Period.

But..... the Defense did:
Force 4 Punts.
Force a Turnover on Downs.
Force a 48 yard Field Goal.
Force two fumbles and two interceptions.
One additional possession for SHS ended on time at Half Time.

That is 10 (TEN) Stops! The average football game typically has 10-14 possessions per team. Our Defense played 100 snaps and 18 possessions. Again, we've GOT to improve. Period. But at least to me, this is not the same as last year and there is a silver lining.

I'm back to slowly sipping on this Wednesday morning. Do you want some?
