I could not imagine playing for a better “player’s coach” than Beard. I know that I am a bit one sided in how I am looking at this but every time I see him interviewed he always says the right things about his players. He compliments them while still wanting them to play better. He acknowledges their hard work on and off the court. He seems to truly care about their future. He is teaching them how to handle pressures of playing collegiate sports and maybe beyond. He instills the values of being a part of a team and the importance of being a role player.
I might be missing something, but he seems to have all of the right tools... so glad he is here!
