I dont fly any more, selling my Citibria and Porsche, you have to know when to stop. I am dropping out of the private race track near ft worth Called Motor Sport Ranch. My DAd in Lubbock gave me flying lesions when I was 14.
I first ride in a airplane was a Cessna 195, google that, man what a plane.
I am co founder of Hamilton Soaring Club, look at web page, the back bone of that club are All Odessa guy and airline pilots. One player was WO at Permian , one played for Spike.
I have done well in stock market and I give money to good ideas. I put 90,ooo into that club this year. I gave Plainview a glider but I dont think they can pull it off. They wanted me to build them a big hangar, not at this time. I cannot run it from Ft worth and I am too old. So if you pass thru Hamilotn and tell them the RR from Ft worth want to buy a ride for them and they will know who that is. My contest number was EK. I flew 2 national contests and several regionals. Not all that good but no crashes and the land outs were all safe. Hobbs is the place but no one over there alive any more. You might drive up to Plainview and see what can be done. It has great great potential. I almost landed out there and then picked up a thermal and went to 16,000 ft and onto Littlefield. It is 3.5 degrees per 100 ft so it can get cold even in the summer. During the War big glider bases in Lamesa, Lubbock and Plainview. hubcity
