Haven't gotten one since the 5S and now I'm sort of forced to get this one instead of waiting for 8 since current is 3 years old and out of space.
What is the deal w actually purchasing? Buy through apple store or thru AT&T? I understand that you basically pay full price for the phone now, but what is the best option? Pay $700 upfront (mortgage home and children's college) or go for an "upgrade" plan?
If you buy through the apple store, how does the phone know you have AT&T when you open the box? They are all unlocked now from what I understand.
If I want to get the 8 next year also (and don't need multiple trap phones) whats the best option.
