So my wife just asked me a what if question about the family dog.
First about the dog. He's a rat, Scottish terrier mix that I bought for my daughters. He's about 2 1/2 years old and I paid $40 on Craigslist for him. He's really a wonderful family pet. He takes small shits and doesn't eat a ton of dog food. He is a very effective watch dog. He doesn't really shed at all unless his coat is fully grown. My daughter's and wife love him like a family member. I tolerate him mostly and give him affection when he asks for it, only for a short while. We've had him since 8 weeks old.
The question: If someone offered you a cash offer for your dog, how much would it take for you to let them go? My answer: "I don't know honey, I'd have to really consider it if someone offered me $1500 for him."
Apparently that was not a good answer.
What's your answer?
