104 shy of 5,000 official attendance at the New Mexico State vs Red Raiders game last night at Security Bank Ballpark in Midland. That count includes only actual butts-in-the-seats since there were no season ticket sales included in the total.
It's hard to fault Burgland, even though things did look pretty shabby that one inning. He's normally very adept at blocking pitches in the dirt, but last night Quezada's pitches were getting the better of him. He was in good position for making the blocks, but looking at Q's breaking pitches from close-in on the centerfield camera, they were falling off a table and bouncing unpredictably. The one Burgie had trouble picking up might have still been spinning! Anyway, we won, it was a great evening at the ballpark, a great fan turnout, and with seven Tech pitching changes our "Call to the Bullpen" sponsor was very happy!!
