Refinery started by Henry Sinclair in 1918 and now owned by LyondellBasell industries is shutting down. Would have cost too much to modernize it and it was not set up to refined the light sweet Permiian oil like more modern refineries are. Again we have to import oil because of refinery capacity and cost of upgrading refineries Also mentioned Phillips shutting down Inglewood refinery in California.
