Houston recs for the bowl game

looking for a place to play golf, we are flying into hobby and staying in the galleria area, so would like to stay somewhere in the area. However if there is a course worth the drive I'm in, not too concerned price wise. Also any restaurant recommendations in between the galleria area before the game?
