I actually liked what I saw. Yes, you always like to win, but Houston had a lot of experience and shot extremely well. Flat out played a Tech team that wasn’t clicking in the first half.

2nd half entirely different game. We outplayed them, players were amped up, coaches were amped up, Sampson showed yet again what a clown he is. If we played the whole game like that we win BIG

3 games in 5 days. Tired legs means a drop in shooting % including at the stripe which showed. McClung looked like he could barely lift his legs by the end.

What I loved to see is how this team really came together in the 2nd half. Peavy was off the first 10 minutes of the game and to me was a lion out there the next 30. Dude can flat out ball and plays with fire.

We are 3 months away from Indianapolis and like I said you never like to lose but there was a lot to like about the team performance last night to have confidence in what this team will look like for Indy

Red Raider fans we delivered with crowd presence during the 2nd half too. First half we got down big early and were out of the game too. I know I had a blast.

I do have a few concerns from the first 3 games. One is Burnett looks pretty lost and extremely timid out there. Curious to see how he continues to progress. I’m not too worried about Santos, he has the skill to play the 5 for us, just needs to get it figured out and we’ve got the best in the business to get him there. I’ll still echo my concerns from last season, I really don’t know what Kyler brings to the court.

Still a ton of basketball to be played. Beard will do Beard things and I think it’s going to be a great season
