Wow what a game! It sure looks to me like Texas Tech is the equal of the #10 team in the country.
You know, except for a really poor shot selection at a really poor time, I thought Tech played pretty dang well. I have no other complaints. That shot to end the first OT was beyond abysmal, and hopefully for the rest of my life I never ever see anything like that again. But, I will, every week practically, somewhere from some team. *Sigh* It's not the end of the basketball world, but man it's hard for me to express how disappointed I was to see that shot. Blah!
Ok I'm over it now. I was over it before I went to bed.
Nice game, nice effort, nice focus. Doesn't this team look like they are in a good place? The mentality is right, the play is right. They are not always getting wins, but they are always in a position to get a win.
Raiders are four under with four to play, and three of those are against teams ahead of Tech in the standings. The road to the NCAA tourney is still there for Tech!
ISU is tied for fourth in the conference, and this will be a tough game - but Tech looks plenty tough to me. Barring injury, there is no reason Tech can't beat these guys.
At O$U - The last poor game Tech played, at home, against these guys a month ago. Tech hasn't played poorly since.
Texas moved out of the cellar, and Raiders close at Kansas State. The way Texas Tech is playing, there is no reason they can't win out, even with two games on the road. I'm not quite picking them to win out, but I think they hold at home and we'll see how the two away games play out.
Really nice effort yesterday, continues a good run for Tech over the last month. More wins will come if they keep playing this way!
