Maybe more later if you are really unfortunate.

I've seen Kansas play four times, and these are my opinions.

1.) They take a lot of jumpers. They are shooting 51% as a team, and when jumpers are falling any team is hard to beat.

2.) Mason and Graham get a lot of press, and they are pretty good. Vick we don't hear as much about but I think he is a good player for them as far as shooting the ball. He doesn't really add much to the game otherwise. He's not particularly active away from the ball, he's an average ball handler, and an average defender.

3.) They are not a good free throw shooting team, and average at getting to the line. They can be had at both ends of the court on the FT line.

4.) Mason is hard to defend. He can shoot it, and he can handle it and get to the rim, and he can get his own shot whenever he wants it.

5.) Lucas and Azubuike off the bench will mix it up in the post.

6.) Mason and Jackson will both get to the line, but only Mason is respectable once he gets there. Jackson should hide is head in shame.

We often hear about how one guy can make a basketball team great. Mason is that guy. You can't face guard him, he will roast you on his way to the rim or you'll foul him. You can't play off him, he will shoot and hit. He draws a lot of fouls, I guess the saving grace here is he is average at the stripe. This is about the only part of his game that is average. This Kansas team without Mason is average, a team that wins when they shoot it well.

I know these guys are favorites to win, but this is not a vintage Kansas team. It's just not. Mason is as good a player as there is in the country.

Bill Self still leads the nation in getting the least out of the most, but other than Mason this team may not have the most.
