If Tech made a change at HC, why would Sumlin not be a consideration? (I am hearing from a friend who definitely is in-the-know that the loss today was it for Sumlin at TAMU.)
He is great recruiter in Texas. I hear that he wants to go to the PAC12 but the only job that he would get after TAMU is Oregon State. (I cannot see UCLA wanting him.) I think we are better job than Oregon State.
His record as an HC is good but not great. However, I think he can assemble a staff and probably keep Gibbs. I also think that he will have the ability to save a recruiting class and pull some notable players immediately.
I think he will get a new job quickly but, given the alternatives, why wouldn't he be a strong consideration?
