We often talk about how really the only thing the aggys have going for them is how well their alumni base networks and takes care of each other...and how we wish Tech could get there one day.
Well apparently that's not going to happen through the official Hire Red Raiders site. Which obstensibly exists to link employers with TTU students and alumni.
I posted a listing there over two weeks ago for some part time spots we needed to fill -- great resume builder, great afternoon hours -- just a perfect fit for a student. Posted it in a few other places as well. Hire Red Raiders says when you submit that they have to approve all postings and it can take up to 72 hours which is pretty ridiculous in the first place.
As of this morning we have filled the four positions that we were seeking so I logged back in so I could deactivate the listing. Low and behold it still says that it is "pending approval" two weeks later...it never even posted!
It seems like sometimes we never miss an opportunity to shoot ourselves in the foot.
