Kind of by chance I will have a couple of articles coming up on my blog that (at least to me) are more interesting than the usual article.
Recently, I had a chance to exchange emails with Dr. Lawrence White (George Mason U. and Cato Institute). Just by chance we have the same name which we both thought was kind of fun. He is advocate for a return to a gold standard and wrote an article on that recently which I am going to feature. He also pointed me to some earlier articles he has written on that. In my article you can compare his ideas on the gold standard to Dr. Warren Coats Real SDR proposal and another proposal by Robert Pringle for a new global reserve currency. It gives you an idea of what they discuss on an ongoing basis.
Secondly, while working on the blog I had the opportunity to meet Robert Pringle (Founder of Centralbanking.com and a former Director of The Group of 30). Again, just kind of by chance. We have exchanged quite a few emails over the past year. Just the other day he alerted me to this article by John Taylor about a highly respected economist named Allan Meltzer who recently passed away. Robert Pringle was friends with Mr. Meltzer and they had some interesting email exchanges on ways to change the current monetary system awhile back. I decided to do an article on that and Mr. Pringle pointed me to their email exchanges which are pretty interesting at least to me.
These two articles will go on the blog over the next couple of weeks. If there are those here who are interested, I will come back to this thread and post the links to these two articles when they publish. If not, that's OK too. Just wanted to provide a heads up since these were more interesting articles to me and might be to some here as well.
