Been thinking about this dynamic at Tech.

My personal opinion is the current Head coaches refusal to give up play calling has been one of the largest reasons games are at often mismanaged and just an overall decision making ability.

Gundy stated in an interview his single biggest reason for breaking through was when he gave up play calling (year 3?). He said he started to be able to really see the full feel of the game and make better decisions.

Obviously, our current head coach will not give up play calling duties. After Kevin Johns interview this week we see the head coach is still calling almost all plays. John is just calling a play here and there as it was described. Disappointing.

The athletic director refuses to force the issue. Never has required the coach to be the head coach.

So, in summary is it possible that the current head coach is focused on marketing himself for his next job? Focused on showing he's a play caller and can come into an OC role at a blue blood? Is it possible last thing from a marketing perspective is to show he no longer calls plays which diminishes his ability to get the potential next job as OC? Nobody is questioning him wanting to succeed at Tech but him and his agent are probably realists and want the best for his person career as well.

These are just my opinions.
