i don't follow OSU that much but this clearly was what we are trying to copy (irony) with hiring kliff. I know it took Gundy a few seasons to get ramped up but what is the the big difference that separates these coaches trajectory?
I think kliff is smarter and a better play caller even though Gundy was good but eventually relinquished play calling duties. I believe Gundy probably had some more experience but did he just hire a good DC his first go round?
They get pretty good players but generally recruit around our level. Or is it just toughness? Curious what yall think in why their former qb who is their best coach all time has worked out better than ours to date?
