I’m not happy with keeping Wells at all, but I’d suggest people take a 24 hr cool down before “canceling” Texas Tech football.
Hiring McGuire, Briles, Leach or Saban doesn’t define Texas Tech. There is no moral or ethical debate about keeping Wells to talk about. Everyone wants to win, some just have certain thoughts on how to get there.
I’ll also say this, if you want to cement Tech football in the grave then stop funding it, if you want to cement our other sports dwindling back down to nothing then let an underfunded program pull the entire athletic department down.
I hope we go get a real OC and can salvage something from this whole disaster, but the last week of RRS has sucked with the amount of division and hostility that came from it. I hope after a cool down people can realize it’s not the end of the world.
