Gonna do this in the format they do in real life, 1st/2nd/3rd teams, defensive team, newcomer team along with the individual awards. Let me know what you think, I probably missed a couple guys and it's probably way tl;dr but whatever.
Coach of the Year: Bill Self, Kansas (Runner up: Chris Beard, Texas Tech)
- gonna get roasted for this one, but with how KU finished and we closed this goes to Self.
Player of the Year: Devonte' Graham, Kansas (Runner up: Trae Young, Oklahoma)
- Young was the favorite most of the year but faltered down the stretch while Graham led his team to a conference title. Graham deservedly gets POY.
Defensive Player of the Year: Jevon Carter, West Virginia (Runner up: Mo Bamba, Texas)
- same winner as last year, Carter led the conference in steals at almost 3 per game. Bamba is a freak and averaged nearly 4 blocked per game. had UT and WVU switched spots in the standings could see it going to him.
Newcomer of the Year: Malik Newman, Kansas (Runner up: Kendall Smith, OSU)
- not too many great choices here, and in previous years they've separated this award from the freshman award so I looked for a true transfer type and Newman was probably the best
Freshman of the Year: Trae Young, Oklahoma (Runner up: Mo Bamba, Texas)
- led the conference and nation in points and assists, pretty easy choice here
Sixth Man Award: Terry Maston, Baylor (Runner up: Kouat Noi, TCU)
- Maston was huge for Baylor down the stretch and even won a B12 POW award for it. Noi was one of the conference leaders in 3 point %.
All-Big 12 First Team
G Trae Young, Oklahona
G Devonte' Graham, Kansas
G Keenan Evans, Texas Tech

The Big 12 did 4 guards in last years lineup, so they do it again here. The 4 guards are easily choices and are all deserving. Wade gets the last spot ahead of Bamba, Brodziansky and a couple others.
