GM Recalls 462K Diesel Models Due to Possible Rear-Wheel Lockup

I came across this article about GM’s latest recall on Chevy, GMC, and Cadillac diesel trucks for faulty transmissions, and honestly, it’s nothing new with GM.

How is it that they keep churning out vehicles with the same glaring issues? We’re not talking about minor inconveniences—these are significant, costly problems that consumers are left to deal with after shelling out $80K for a truck. It’s infuriating.

Even though I don’t have direct experience with the specific models in that article, my 2016 Silverado has had its share of "common problems." GM clearly knows about these issues—just look at the track record—but instead of addressing them, they push forward with flawed designs.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to stick with what works? Ford, for instance, seems to build around tried-and-true components, making tweaks as needed without reinventing the wheel—and without creating endless headaches for owners.

At this point, GM is losing my trust. Anyone else feel like we’re paying premium prices just to be guinea pigs for their half-finished products?
