Below are pressures recorded as a team per PFF the last few years.
You can see in 2022 the pressure mostly came from the edge with Tyree Wilson and the two inside guys. In 2023 the pressure came from the DT's with Hutchings and Bradford, with two veteran EDGE's pitching in. You're seeing this years team is mainly getting pressure with the ILB's and the total numbers are more evenly spread out.

Thoughts - the 2024 team having a pressure rate of over 20% is incredible because they cannot generate anything with a 4 man rush. You can see that in the numbers. The ILB's at the top mean that Tech is only pressuring the quarterback when they bring 5 or 6 guys. That has left Tech's secondary vulnerable - and is a big reason why Texas Tech's pass defense is ranked #132 in the country, only ahead of Tulsa.
Tech really needs to find a couple of Edge guys who can put up 20-30+ pressures again, which will help the entire unit. Hutchings and Bradford were special, too. And Tyree Wilson was a one man wrecking crew.
