Thought this was interesting. The Lady Raiders playing UH this morning as part of "Education Day."
From today's UD/DT: "Admission is free to the public for the third annual Education Day. Students from more than 40 South Plains elementary schools will be in attendance.
“It’s always so much fun,” Candi Whitaker said. “I think we started it three years ago, and we just love the opportunity to get a lot of kids on Texas Tech’s campus and let them be a part of a collegiate basketball game.”
Larryn Brooks, who was on the sidelines during the last Education Day in Lubbock, said the crowd was loud and rowdy.
“It was loud,” Brooks said. “It’s an awesome experience to have the kids here, and I feel bad for Houston having to deal with that. Obviously, the kids are yelling, and it’s just a great experience.”
