Has anyone else been watching ESPNU's coverage of the team?
I seriously want to punch Paul Finebaum in the face. Roger Staubach practically lifted up Navy singlehandedly on his shoulders with his leadership and athleticism into a National Title contender, and Finebaum babbles on about how he doesn't deserve to be anywhere around this list. I honestly do not think he feels anyone but SEC players deserve to be on the team.
I also do not know how Kenny Easley didn't make the first team. He was only the first three-time 1st team AA in college history. Ronnie Lott got named first team, and he played at the same exact time as Kenny Easley. Lott was a consensus 1st team AA his Sr season, but Easley was 1st team AA for three seasons over Lott.
I also think that Crabtree should have been named 3rd team. He was a superior college player over both Johnson and Carter. He was the top receiver in the nation his only two seasons.
Hugh Green and probably Bubba Smith over Ted Hendricks at 1st team DE. Hugh Green was the Heisman runner up his Sr season. It is the highest a defensive lineman has ever been voted for Heisman, notwithstanding Leon Hart as a two-way player.
