This defense yall. Thought they might be getting exposed suddenly in that first half. Deruyter said fvck that Dana… total shut out in the 2nd half.

After that first half, where they got smoked, they completely dominated the rest of the way. This defense has a whole other gear they can hit and they are doing it without really any kind of pass rush. Remarkable.
Ben Roberts has hit double digit tackles in 3 of the 4 games he’s started.
Drae McCray is just special on the return, I bet he gets at least another return TD at some point this year.
Behren’s numbers don’t jump out but he managed this game perfectly. Made huge plays when he needed to and would have made a few more if not for drops. He simply creates big plays and pushes the ball down field.
63% completion percentage, no turnovers. Only sacked 1 time today. He’s thrown only 1 pick in the 3 games he’s played and that was on Loic who was blocking instead of looking for the ball. 5TD to 1 INT so far. (Knock on wood).
Speaking of Loic, well hello sir.
Completely flipped the game single handily.
Only one catch but it was a beauty for 25 yards and a TD, then the very next time out he blocks a punt, recovers the ball and waltzed in for a score. Hope to see more of you.
Brooks and Valdez. 212 yards 3 TDs. That’ll do. 106 yards a piece.
Valdez had only 5 touches but he showed everything we thought he could be. He is the lightning to Brooks thunder. Dude is fast. 2 huge runs today. He’s a dude.
Myles Price was great today. 63 yards and a Touchdown.
Offensive line did the job today. Only one sack given up against a stout Houston D Line. And their were holes all day to run through.
What’s crazy, the stats really don’t just jump out at any spot. You were out gained in total yards. Yet you win by 21. Only 2 penalties for 10 yards. No turnovers. Special teams made big contributions. But really it was just a clean well executed game all around. Take away a rough first half for the defense and you simply dominated on all sides of the ball.
We can win a lot of games playing like that. Someone earlier said we K-Stated them. That’s accurate. I really don’t mind winning like that. Coaching deserves an A+ all around. Impressive today.
