I have a customer that I inherited when I bought another company. This guy owed the previous owner $10,000 on a contract that was 90% complete. I have known since day one that he's notorious about slow paying.
We finished the other 10% back in February and, since I hadn't really done a helluva lot of work, I gave the guy a $2,000 discount, hoping he would go ahead an pay on time.
Well, we're approaching 5 months later and I still don't have my money. I've started assessing finance charges to the tune of $200.00 per month.
Anybody got any suggestions on dealing with a slimeball like this guy?
