Largely unnoticed this week was a report that Iran is taking steps to reach 20% enrichment. Our Iranian policy, which was going to have them subserviant to us in 6 months, has seem them reestablish their influence in both Syria and Iraq while we abandon our Kurdish allies in the middle of the night. Because of our actions, we have seen long time allies doubting our promises and obligations. No better example of our deteriorating leadership than a Security Council vote on sanctions where we get one freaking vote of support. We're turning Afghanistan over to the Taliban. Worse, we've ignored Russian actions such as bounties, and refused to even address their recent hacking. Didn't hear one word from Trump on either? Why?. We've seen Kim Dung, despite Trump's claim of personal ties, expand his nuclear arsenal and develop missiles capable of hitting us despite Trump's promises. We've sold weapons and tied ourselves to the prince in Saudi Arabia as one of the most tyrannical leaders in the Middle East. Have we tied our raft to another tyrant destined to another Shah and weapons turned on us? We've seen China take our place as leader in establishing a new trade agreement in southeast Asia and we can't even get in it now.. The world witnessed our own president using another disproven conspiracy theory to justify rioters he calls "patriots" attacking our own Capitol. They saw him applauding speakers calling for combat and urging supporters to fight to go against the will of the people in selecting a new leader. He calls members of Congress enemies of the US and urges rioters to march on our capitol with a predictable outcome. Turnover in staff, including Sec of State, are left with no guidance and subject to changes in policy on a whim and without notice. Our foreign policy is a cluster.... and Biden has been left a mess.
