started following tech sports in earnest in 2004 or so, and thinking back on my experience. would like the thoughts from our long-time fans
it seems like the past couple of years is really the only time I can think of where the AD is at high level give-a-shit. like oklahoma and texas leaving the conference flipped some sort of switch in our AD. fundraising, organization, vision, etc. even in the early hocutt years and esp during the myers years it felt like we were just kinda happy to be there. i don’t remember this level of donor engagement pretty much ever. hell it wasn’t but 20 years ago where we couldn’t afford the postage stamps needed to recruit
