From now on, Bowl Games are just going to be scrimmages. They will be meaningless in terms of national ranking. They're only purpose will be to evaluate the redshirts and the second teamers who did not enter the portal. They will allow staff to give more reps to the next in line and to evaluate their needs from a recruiting perspective. They will be a gauge of the coaching staff's prior recruiting efforts and talent development. But only to the extent that players stick around.
