Like many, admittedly had little to no knowledge of Matt Wells when he became Kirby’s top target. After reading several articles, talking with folks that know him and watching a few videos on Wells he reminded me of someone but just couldn’t put me finger on who. Finally figured it out. His personality, player-coach relationship, coaching style, media presence, sincerity, etc., is very similar to Dabo Sweeney. Kirby may have found a diamond in the rough at just the right time...on more than one front.
