. This game sucked bigtime, and we let a bigtime opportunity slip through our fingers at home. But nothing has really changed. This game along with baylor was one of the games we needed to win in order to have a very special season. 9 or 10 wins special. But it wasnt one of those games that we have to win in order to get to 8 wins which should be a reasonable expectation for this team.
tcu will lose this year, and probably twice. our defense did everything we could have expected. They stole possesions, blocked a field goal, and gave us a chance to win it in the end. But the O missed on too many
key possesions.
This team is still 2003 reincarnated, and now our Qb even has the knee injury to boot, ALA BJ Symons.
If we look at the remaining schedule I think we can all agree about what is to come in what should be a successful bounce back year from last.
baylor- close loss, another shootout, their d is probably worse than tcu's. which is saying something. but unfortunately still better than ours. In the end probably don't have the horses to keep up. I certainly wouldn't write this team off though like some on here seem to be thinking. baylor really just isn't that good to do so.
iowa state & kansas can screw themselves, if we show up we kick their a**es
@ou close loss if things hold up and we give it our best shot. I think this is another that will come down to the wire. their o isn't as good as tcu's so I think we will get some more stops. but their d is better. they have the home crowd, which will give them big mo. I think we lose this one in a close game but I could see ou running away with it if they start getting some momentum. the old saying that offenses some times stays at home, but defenses always travel is true. Makes me worry about this game even though on a neutral field we can probably beat these guys.
osu must must win, this game along with the arkansas, ksu, and texas games are absolute must wins this year. We have the team to do it if we do not we will have underperformed.
@wvu bad loss, I just don't see how we match up with these guys to be honest. This is the team that has the parts to win the conference this year, but maybe not the schedule. best d in the conference by far, with an underrated o. in Morgantown too has me very worried about this one.
ksu, must win and should be a blowout if we show up and recover from wvu and don't kill ourselves. They should not be able to keep up.
@texas please please please Lord let us take advantage of them this year! This game will be tough, unless ut's wheels come off from having lost so many games they had an opportunity to win. But if we play to our capabilities we should beat these guys.
8-4 should be our expectation this year. Anything less and we will have underachieved. Anything more is a bonus.
Makes me feel a bit better to take a step back and look at the bigger picture, also remembering that we have a good recruiting class coming in, and a future heisman finalist in Mahomes. Look at what Kliff is building and let's feel pretty good with where we are at right now.
