Six years into the Kliff experiment and we are still a 5 to 7 win type of program. The refrain of Injuries, bad luck, bad calls, etc.is the same old story. The excuses just never end.

I keep hearing how the program has made "progress" this year. Well, we just scored 46 points at home and lost another game. We have seen this before, over and over. Scoring a lot of points and still losing has become the norm at Tech.

Make all the excuses you want, but fans can pretty well anticipate who we will beat and who we will lose to. That kind of program doesn't help generate a whole lot of fan excitement.

The truth is that if a coach hasn't built something after six years, it's just not going to happen. Running your quarterback who has already been injured just isn't very smart. Having someone other than your quarterback throw a lob pass into all kinds of coverage on a critical two point conversion isn't very smart either. And although the team overcame a hurried first down and goal illegal procedure penalty, how many times has that happened?

If everyone is satisfied with losing 5, 6 or 7 games every year just like clockwork, then we have our coach for the long haul. If we want more, then let's stop the charade and start looking for a replacement. Personally, I think Tech is too big of a school and has too much money invested to have to settle for this kind of mediocrity.

You either win or you lose. When we play good teams, we lose. You could look it up. At this point, there is simply no reason to think this pattern will ever change as long as Kliff is the head coach.
