Length: Musselman's contract is for five years and runs through April 30, 2024, although both sides could get out of the deal earlier while paying buyouts, which are outlined below.
* Annual compensation: Musselman will make $2.5 million in annual compensation a year, so he basically signed a five-year, $12.5 million contract.
* Raises: Musselman will get a $100,000 raise each time his team competes in the NCAA Tournament, not to exceed $200,000 over the course of the term. Also, he can increase his annual compensation by $250,000 per year with his first Sweet 16 appearance; $350,000 per year with his first Final Four berth; and $500,000 per year with his first national championship.
If he leaves early: If Musselman leaves Arkansas before April 30, 2021, he would owe the school $5 million. The buyout drops to $1.5 million from May 1, 2021-April 30, 2022 and to $1 million from May 1, 2022-April 30, 2024. After that period, the buyout is $750,000.
