I didn't look at how much this costs, but as an engineer I love the technology behind this. I'm planning on going solar and have been for a long time. Not for political, global warming, climate change, or any of that jazz, but because I hate the energy/delivery surcharge that has been on my utilities bill ever since gas prices spiked 5-6 years ago. I renovated and expanded an 1895 Victorian and went super energy efficient. My 4,450 square foot house uses less energy than your typical 1,400 square foot house. But every time I see that the surcharge on my gas bill is higher than my gas usage, I go nuts!!!! Bottom line: I hate the utility companies and I want so much solar that I sell to them.
