Got my renewal from my electric company. Obviously, like almost all other companies, they jacked their rates over the introductory/new customer rates. However, my Oncor rate jumped almost 60% from just over 5 cents/kwh to 8 cents/kwh. Oncor, like Centerpoint, is a pass through charge and is supposed to be the same for everyone.
My kwh charge for 500 kwh or below jumped from around 9 cents to almost 15 cents...a 66% jump.
Sure looks like this is how the electric companies are going to deal with Snowmageddon. My charges since Feb have gone down for both gas and electric so it's not being passed through on current contracts.
