My kids are "athletes" and I use that term to mean either former HS or participating in some form of athletics, and they receive this Eastbay thing with all sorts of gear. Anyway, there's a big college sports section this month and it features Nike, UA, and Adidas. Know what the featured UA schools are? Not Tech is the only answer I care about. Rustled my jimmies and It got to me to thinking about a scenario.
Say You were Emperor of Tech Football for a day. You have to make the call on this scenario-
Nike offers Tech to be a featured football program or you can make any and all changes to our Tailgating scene. What's your call?
Both are important and have short and long term benefits or implications. As much as I would love to have a true tailgating advantage-we don't- I think I would have to go with being a featured Nike school. But it's close for me. Long term, I think the Nike thing would bring in more money and recognition.
