I remember watching his high school highlights at Stephenville and being wowed by his playmaking ability. Wasn’t sure how it would translate to college but he was the best player on the field in every game he played in high school.
Fast Forward: Guy is simply a stud. And quickly becoming a favorite of mine.
And it’s not just because he’s producing; 17 receptions, 307 yards, 5 TDs, 18.1 yard average and has also thrown a TD on the year. But it’s how he is doing it, when he is doing it and there’s a calm swagger there.
There’s a grit and a presence we haven’t seen in a bit. That Wes Welker, Mickey Peters type of grit. I think he would’ve made Leach proud.
Guy is underratedly athletic to boot…
Long story short, there’s a reason a frosh like Hudson isn’t getting rushed onto the field. You’ve got some special receivers and it’s starts with Coy (and Kelly).
I recommend to take the time and enjoy Mr. Eakin (only a sophomore). He’s a special talent and exudes that Leach era vibe. Win or lose, bad play calling or not, he’s a guy we are gonna look back on as Red Raider great IMO.
