Like I get they may not go to 16, hell the B1G and ACC might just survey the landscape and make no moves for a bit.
But once UT and OU finalize the SEC deal then you’ll have a 16 team SEC, 14 team ACC (with partial ND membership) and a 14 team B1G conference.
You’ll have an 8 team land of misfit toys conference and a 12 team PAC conference.
Even if the other conferences don’t feel a need to jump right away and get up to 16 I got to imagine the PAC tries to get to 14 to get them equal with the others, right?
I mean they are already behind on revenue and national prominence, staying at a regional 12 team conference seems like a bad idea. Why not grab at least 2 teams and then survey the land with the ACC and B1G?
I feel like it just makes too much sense for the PAC to get up to 14 teams now and enter the Texas/CST market. Then you can be ultra choosey with your 15/16 member if you get there.
