Does Manafort have a double jeopardy out?

There may be a double jeopardy out for Manafort in his NY State charges. NY does have a double jeopardy provision in their Constitution. It allows for this claim under certain circumstances among them if the charges in the state are similar to the federal charges for which he has been convicted. Manafort has already plead guilty to the state charges.

Additionally, there is a court case ongoing in NY wherein the defendant has asserted that federal double jeopardy does flow through to the state.

Will be interesting to follow both as wins in either could have implications across the country.
