Just finished watching The War by Ken Burns due to several on here recommending it. EXCELLENT series, highly recommend it, maybe my favorite WWII Doc. If you're a fan of Ken Burns I'd also highly recommend watching The West and The Dust Bowl. Both are very good.
I also recently watched I Am Bolt - its about Usain Bolt and his quest for Gold at the Rio Olympics. The quality and the way it was shot I don't think are that great, but it was a fascinating topic for me, so I could easily overlook it. Came away very impressed with his coach, who is very unassuming. Also gives you a look into the day to day life of a high profile athlete and how they spend their time.
Now I'm moving on to Season 3 of The Ranch, because I hate myself. Its equal parts good and terrible, often at the same time. Also helps if you watched That 70's Show (If they re-launched That 70's Show today, using the same timeframe as before, it would take place in the late 90s).
Some other Docs I'd recommend:
The King of Kong
Bigger, Faster, Stronger
The World at War
