Dallas Morning News is running series of stories all week on Big 12. Today, they look at the 5-year impact in the state of A&M's move to the SEC. The big impact is how much that has brought in the SEC, especially the SEC West, into the state. Ohio State as well.
Outside of the initial bump they got from Manziel, and they used that to add $450 million in facility improvements, A&M's move to the SEC on the field has been about what everyone thought -- they were average in the Big 12, and they are average in the SEC.
But the SEC now recruits Texas like it's one of their own states, going so far as to consider having the SEC Media Days at the Star in Frisco in the near future. Now THAT would be interesting.
