Hey guys,
I just accepted a position in Dallas and will be starting on either 6-19 or 6-26. I've lived in Lubbock my whole life and I have no clue on where to live, what to eat, or basically anything in the DFW area. Here's just a small bit of what I will be needing:
I'll be working out of the Frank Crowley Building in Downtown Dallas. I'm a little nervous about the traffic and living too far away, but rent seems to be significantly higher closer to downtown. Suggestions on places to live? Apartments, townhouses, rent houses.....My budget is about $800-$1000 per month.
What are the main grocery stores in the area? Which ones are best and which should I stay away from?
If I'm living close to downtown, I'll need a watering hole to watch the Tech games (this might be the most important information I receive ITT).
Give me any other tips, pieces of advice, and things I'll need to know as a new Dallas resident.
