Welcome to my Weekly Game Day Thread Highlights, where each week I'll hand-select my favorite posts from the weekly game thread. These will include posts that I find entertaining, insightful, inane, ridiculous, provocative, and absurd. I hope you will as well.
The Red Raiders are 2-0, and looking to try to come out of the non-conference schedule unscathed as they travel to rain-soaked Houston this weekend. After a weather delay, Tech's offense washed out the Arizona State defense for the most part, but the Devils were able to plug the hole in its boat and bail water enough to make things interesting. Fortunately, the Red Raiders built a dam that the Sun Devil offense could not overcome at the end of the game.
Our Game Thread this week was as changing as the weather. It was all sunshine and rainbows for the first third of the thread, and as usual, certain posters were conspicuously absent. The storm croud (sic) returned as the goings became a bit more turbulent and as the scoring margin narrowed. Ultimately, after a few microbursts, the storm passed, the sun shone again, and the Game Thread posters were left to sort through the debris.
So I invite you to put on your poncho, seek your nearest shelter, and enjoy the hilarity from Saturday evening. Without further delay, here...are your week 3 Game Thread highlights!
