Welcome to my Weekly Game Day Thread Highlights, where each week I'll hand-select my favorite posts from the weekly game thread. These will include posts that I find entertaining, insightful, inane, ridiculous, provocative, and absurd. I hope you will as well. This is intended to be a Monday post, but with Labor Day, this feature was delayed.
Ahhh, football is finally back. And so are the loyally devoted fans who love to display their immediate feelings during the greatest of all events, a Texas Tech football game. The Red Raiders took care of business against a heralded, albeit FCS football team. As is tradition, the posts per minute rate was much higher early in the game when the score remained close. Some certin posters almost seemed disappointed with the outcome, while other certain posters were conspicuously silent. But as any good game day thread does, this one represented a vast array of posts, ranging from euphoria, pride, analysis, concern, criticism, personal attacks, vitriol, and hatred, among others.
This will not be a clean format, as someone locked this thread before I was able to grab the quotes. While you're reading this, be sure to think of a Texas, Baylor, or A&M fan. No, not out of sympathy. I mean laugh internally while you think of them curled in the fetal position in the dankest room of his/her house. It's a good exercise. IMO, Kliff finally got out of the scripting and adjusted. That's what the difference on that drive was.
