I've got a 4 year old and a 6 year old, both boys. My entire family is looking at doing a cruise and right now everyone is leaning towards a 7 day trip. We would likely be the only ones on the trip with younger kids. 7 days stuck in a small room with little kids seems like a total ass beating. Somebody is going to have to put those kids to bed while everyone else stays up and has fun.
I've never done a cruise and know nothing about them. What is a good amount of time at sea? 4 day, 5 day, 7 day? What are the do's and don'ts? Will a 4 YO and a 6 YO enjoy a cruise?
Looking at one 4 day trip out of Galveston to Cozumel. Is 4 days too short? Seems like only 1 destination would be a little lame. I notice on the itinerary that you spend basically 8 hours at Cozumel before departing. So the only thing you have time for when reaching a destination would be shopping and eating? So what makes a cruise trip fun? Is it the locations visited or is it the time on the ship?
Sorry for all the questions just thought I'd like to get the beloved opinion from the RRS all knowing.
