Thomas Whitley Jr, the cousin of E.J. Whitley will be walking on to the team this fall.
E.J. started in 45 games from 2002-2006 at Tech before being a Dallas Cowboys 7th round draft pick.
Thomas camped with the Red Raiders last summer and also visited for the Iowa State game in October.
I asked him about his thoughts on TTU after the camp:
“I love Texas Tech, Tech is probably my #1 school I would want to play for because my family has gone to school there. My sister and my cousin EJ Whitley he played left tackle for Tech then got drafted by the Dallas Cowboys. I would love to play for Tech.”
Then after his visit for the ISU game I asked for his thoughts:
“The visit here at Tech was amazing the facilities are the best that I’ve seen at a college by far, and the coaching staff made me feel at home and made sure all of my needs were filled.”
