Blessie is a pitcher who is transferring from Nebraska. He definitely has a live arm, and it will be interesting to see Gardner and Tadlock develop him. He will arrive in Lubbock next fall and play next season.

2020: Bo Blessie came out of the bullpen four times before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic • Went 0-1 with a 23.62 ERA across 2.2 innings • Threw a season-high 1.1 innings of relief at Baylor on Feb. 16 • Tossed 0.2 no-hit scoreless inning at Arizona State on Feb. 29.

2019: Blessie made five appearances for the Huskers from March 26 to April 23 • Compiled a 1.80 ERA with three strikeouts in 5.0 innings • Each of his five relief outings lasted 1.0 inning, as he allowed only three hits.

Before Nebraska: Blessie played high school baseball at Midland Lee in Texas under Coach Brian Roper • Drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 36th Round of the 2018 MLB Draft, but turned down professional baseball to play at Nebraska • Ranked as the No. 3 player in the state of Texas and No. 26 high school player in the nation • Tabbed a third-team All-American and first-team Texas All-Region by Rawlings-Perfect Game in 2018 • Played summer ball for FTB Tucci 55 under Coach Julio Figueroa and finished second in the nation.
