Counting my eggs before they hatch here a bit, but where do you see Colin Schooler fitting in, @B. Golan? While we're at it, where do you see Tyree Wilson, assuming he's granted a waiver?DE: Eli Howard | Nelson Mbanasor | Philip Blidi
NT: Jaylon Hutchings | Nick McCann
DT: Tony Bradford Jr. | Tyree Wilson? | Devin Drew OR Gilbert Ibeneme
RAIDER: Brandon Bouyer-Randle | Kosi Eldridge
MIKE: Riko Jeffers | Tyrique Matthews OR Bryce Robinson
WILL: Colin Schooler? | Krishon Merriweather | Jacob Morgenstern
SPUR: Zech McPhearson | Adam Beck
CB: Adrian Frye
S: DaMarcus Fields | Thomas Leggett | Dadrion Taylor
S: Eric Monroe | Cam White
CB: Ja’Marcus Ingram | Alex Hogan OR Cameron Watts OR Nate Floyd
I think there's a 100% chance Schooler starts as he was one of the best players at any position in the Pac 12. I assume he starts ahead of Krishon Merriweather at Will? I am a little disappointed that Krishon won't be starting, but I expect him to be a big contributor regardless.
Everything is still TBD, but I absolutely love the additions the coaching staff has made to this defense. It actually resembles a P5 defense for the first time in a long time!
What is crazy is the amount of work Wells has done on this side of the ball since he's been hired. Correct me if I'm wrong, but only 7 of the 29 players on the defensive depth chart above are non-Wells guys.
